Belpre won the last time they faced Federal Hocking and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Eagles blew past the Lancers 9-3. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.

AJ Copen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Copen was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Copen wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chase Maze, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Maze has brought in this season.

The victory got Belpre back to even at 4-4. As for Federal Hocking, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belpre will take on Trimble at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Federal Hocking, they will challenge River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
