Hoover extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 16-8 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Sunnyside Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 back in March.

Hoover let Geo Herrera and Robert Herrera run wild. Geo went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Robert went 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Robert has posted since back in April of 2024.

As for Sunnyside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

On Sunnyside's side, Eyzec Parada spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits. Parada has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Abraham Worrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hoover beat Sunnyside by a score of 5-2 on Friday.
