Soccer Recap: Palm Springs Takes a Loss

If Palm Springs was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Xavier Prep last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Palm Springs Indians took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palm Desert Aztecs on Monday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Alan Gutierrez wasn't going to let Palm Desert walk away unscathed as he scored both of Palm Springs' goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Palm Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-4. As for Palm Desert, their record now sits at 9-10-4.

Palm Springs wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Rancho Mirage on the 5th. As for Palm Desert, they have also already played their next match, an 8-1 win against Xavier Prep on the 5th.
