Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Arcanum's Third in Last Four Outings

If Bradford wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Arcanum, they should've done a better job of containing Lexy Gibbons. The Arcanum Trojans blew past the Bradford Railroaders 73-29 on Thursday thanks in part to Gibbons, who went 8 of 10 en route to 27 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Brooke Anderson was another key player, putting up five points and eight assists. What's more, she also racked up four boards, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Arcanum is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Bradford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Arcanum and Bradford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Arcanum will challenge Carroll at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday down 225 places (256 vs. 31). Similarly, Bradford (ranked 729th) will meet Fort Recovery (ranked 301st) at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
