Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Comes Up Short

Berean Christian played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Benicia Panthers 71-44. The Eagles were down 58-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Berean Christian lost, don't look at Jadee Salvador. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Salvador has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jianna Cayanan, who scored ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Berean Christian and nudges their season record down to 10-14. As for Benicia, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.

Berean Christian has already played their next contest, a 57-53 loss against Presentation on the 12th. As for Benicia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-47 defeat against San Domenico on the 18th.
