The Tarbut V' Torah Lions will take on the Lakeside Lancers in a tournament on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tarbut V' Torah has five straight victories, Lakeside has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was another big night for Jacob Coblentz-Brown, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. Coblentz-Brown is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Groner, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.
Tarbut V' Torah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Lakeside lost to Elsinore on the road by a 80-63 margin on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (60), the Lancers still had to take the loss.
Tarbut V' Torah will have to keep a close watch on Maurice Turner and Jack Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lakeside's prior game. Turner almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Jones posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Jones, who had nine points.
Tarbut V' Torah's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's game: Tarbut V' Torah has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.4 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Lakeside, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 three-pointers. Given Tarbut V' Torah's sizable advantage in that area, Lakeside will need to find a way to close that gap.
