After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somerton, Calipatria was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Calipatria's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Palo Verde Valley, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Calipatria will challenge rival Vincent Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Palo Verde Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Calexico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
