            Baseball Recap: Myrtle Point Bobcats vs. Douglas Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Myrtle Point fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Douglas  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell  8-3 to the Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-2  on Thursday.
  Skyler Zick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.  Logan Knapp was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Myrtle Point dropped their record down to 11-4 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home. As for Douglas,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-8.
 Looking ahead, Myrtle Point will take on Oakland at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Bobcats are facing the Oakers at the right time seeing as the Oakers are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. Douglas has  already played their next  game (against Coquille), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
