Lee's Summit West extended their winning streak to nine on Saturday, bumping them up to 11-2. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lafayette Lancers. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Lauren Newbold paced Lee's Summit West's offense, picking up 12 kills. Newbold got some help from Jaelyn Jordan and her 26 assists. Gracyn Lamley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lafayette fell to 15-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Lafayette's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Wiese, who had 17 digs and two assists. Wiese is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lee's Summit West has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bishop Miege on the 20th. As for Lafayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Blue Valley North on the 20th.
