Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Malachi Fischer and Tony Lopez Lead Thales Academy Rolesville to Victory

There's no place like home for Thales Academy Rolesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over the Friendship Christian Falcons on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-55 on January 7th.

Leading Thales Academy Rolesville to victory were Tony Lopez and Malachi Fischer. Lopez posted 15 points along with seven assists and three steals, while Fischer dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Fischer has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Liam Simons, who put up 12 points and seven boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Thales Academy Rolesville was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Friendship Christian only posted seven assists.

Thales Academy Rolesville will be playing at home against St. Thomas More Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Thomas More Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Thales Academy Rolesville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Friendship Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
