Recap: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Clewiston Tigers
The Seminole Ridge Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight loss. They fell 69-59 to Clewiston. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Seminole Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Calvin Warren. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Warren has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jonah Pio, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Seminole Ridge's loss was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Clewiston, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge and Spanish River will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clewiston won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Glades Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Glades Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
