Lecanto is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Central a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Lecanto Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Bears at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Lecanto proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let The Villages Charter get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Buffalo on their field since April 24, 2019.

 Dylan Czerwinski
| 02/28/25 @ Citrus | 5 |
| 03/07/25 vs Hernando | 4 |
| 02/21/25 vs Springstead | 4 |
| 03/14/25 vs Crystal River | 3 |
The result came thanks to Dylan Czerwinski's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lecanto is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-14 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Wilson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Garrett Pitzer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Central had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Citrus on Friday.
Tristan King made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
King wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Baskind, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Central now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Lecanto, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
Lecanto couldn't quite finish off Central when the teams last played back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
