Baseball Recap: Westbury Christian Takes a Loss

Westbury Christian lost against West Houston HomeSchool back in March of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Westbury Christian Wildcats fell 10-7 to the West Houston HomeSchool Thunder. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Leon Bilnoski and Landon Chilcote stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bilnoski scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2, while Chilcote scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Mefford, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Westbury Christian's record is now 2-6. As for West Houston HomeSchool, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

While Westbury Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
