Softball Game Preview: Foresthill Wildfires vs. Colfax Falcons

The Foresthill Wildfires will head out to square off against the Colfax Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foresthill will be strutting in after a win while Colfax will be coming in after a loss.

Foresthill played against Encina on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

Colfax is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to Bear River.

Colfax saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Stofleth, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Olivia Zanoni also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Foresthill, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Foresthill beat Colfax 4-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildfires since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
