Soccer Preview: Evansville Christian vs. Washington        
        
		
             The Evansville Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to  square off against the Washington Hatchets  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Thursday,  everything went Evansville Christian's way against South Spencer as Evansville Christian made off with  a  5-1 win. The Eagles' winning goal came courtesy of  Hallie Peter.
 Evansville Christian was without their leading scorer,  Peyton Geer, in Thursday's   matchup. With  Geer sitting this one out,  Braelyn Schmitt got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 24.1).
 Meanwhile, Washington kept a clean sheet against Princeton  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  5-0 margin over the Tigers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hatchets needed considering they were shutout in their previous   contest.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Evansville Christian and  bumps their season record up to 9-2-1. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
 Evansville Christian took their  victory against Washington  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023 by a conclusive  3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evansville Christian since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
