Truckee proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Carson Senators 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Wolverines as they're now sitting on five straight.

Truckee let Kevin Cabrera and Logan Arata run wild. Cabrera went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Arata scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI Cabrera has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Keelan Hyams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Truckee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Truckee's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Carson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Truckee will be taking part in a tournament against Nevada Union at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Miners have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Carson, they will take on West Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
