Softball Recap: Sipsey Valley Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sipsey Valley's offense. They came up short against the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats on Thursday, falling 6-0. The Bears have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Sipsey Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Tuscaloosa County, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Looking ahead, Sipsey Valley will face off against Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Northridge has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something Sipsey Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tuscaloosa County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Daphne at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
