Baseball Recap: Whitesboro Takes a Loss

Whitesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bowie Jackrabbits. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bearcats were not able to get on the board.

Whitesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bowie, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Whitesboro is on the road again on Friday to play Vernon at 2:30 p.m. Vernon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something Whitesboro will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bowie, they will take on Muenster at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
