Softball Game Preview: Mitchell Bluejackets vs. Perry Central Commodores

The Mitchell Bluejackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Perry Central Commodores at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Mitchell is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since April 11th on Monday. They came up short against West Washington, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Perry Central didn't have quite enough to beat Wood Memorial on Tuesday and fell 6-5.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Mitchell, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-9.

Mitchell might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Perry Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Bluejackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
