Volleyball Recap: Kossuth Picks Up 13th Consecutive Win

Kossuth had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Booneville Blue Devils on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Aggies as they're now sitting on 13 straight.

Kossuth took Booneville into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 15-9.

Kossuth was led to victory by Chloe Clement and Dallyn Haupt. Clement had 12 digs and two aces, while Haupt had 32 kills and three blocks. Haupt is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 33 games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Kossuth was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 29 consecutive contests.

Kossuth's record is now 28-4-2. As for Booneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Looking ahead, Kossuth will host Alcorn Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Booneville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
