Baseball Recap: Sparks Comes Up Short

Sparks extended their losing streak to 22 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-22. They came up short against the South Tahoe Vikings, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Friday.

As for South Tahoe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-17. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For South Tahoe's part, Parker Bryant looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, South Tahoe got a big performance out of Dylan Castellanos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ryland Wright was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Tahoe beat Sparks by a score of 10-0 later that day.
