Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Lake Mary's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Lake Mary won the last time they faced Oviedo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lake Mary Rams walked away with a 45-37 victory over the Oviedo Lions. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Lions are ranked 458th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Mary has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Oviedo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Lake Mary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-24 defeat against New Smyrna Beach on the 10th. As for Oviedo, they will venture away from home to square off against Altamonte Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
