Game recap: Kingsburg High School Football Team tops Exeter

KINGSBURG, Calif. - Exeter (Calif.) fell 21-7 to Kingsburg (Calif.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Vikings were up 14-7 at the half.

Kingsburg grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. KHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Seth Brooks touchdown run.

Exeter's lone touchdown came on an 8-yard pass from Adin Trujillo to Alex Cortez in the second quarter.

The Vikings went into the matchup giving up only 17.6 points per game. Exeter's seven points were well below their season average of 31.6 per game.



With the win Kingsburg extended its winning streak to three games.

Kingsburg (8-1) will play a Central Sequoia game against Selma next week, while Exeter (5-4) will take on Dinuba also in a Central Sequoia game.
