Basketball Game Preview: Locust Grove Wildcats vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers

The Locust Grove Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy lost to Eagle's Landing at home by a 80-64 margin on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Locust Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Locust Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Locust Grove since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
