Basketball Recap: New Summerfield Takes a Loss

New Summerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Overton Mustangs and fell 57-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-17 back in December of 2024.

New Summerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Overton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11.

New Summerfield will face off against Mt. Enterprise at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. New Summerfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Overton, they are taking a road trip to take on Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
