While St. Thomas Episcopal has struggled on the road with four straight losses , that wasn't the case on Friday thanks to Chase Baker. Everything went the Saints' way against the Northland Christian Cougars as they made off with a 93-67 win thanks in part to Baker, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 19 points and six steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Mylen Byrd also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.
St. Thomas Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Northland Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Coincidentally, St. Thomas Episcopal and Northland Christian will both be playing Rosehill Christian the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
