Soccer Recap: Harlingen South's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Harlingen South couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Southwest Dragons on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Harlingen South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Southwest are ranked 21st).

Harlingen South's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5-1. As for Southwest, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1.

Harlingen South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest, they will challenge Glenn at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Southwest surely won't give up without a fight.
