Basketball Recap: Tywon Barnes Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Collins won the last time they faced West Jones and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers blew past the Mustangs 70-49. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 17th (when they won 59-28).

Collins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tywon Barnes out in front who posted 13 points and seven boards. Those 13 points gave Barnes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isom Price, who scored 12 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Collins back to even at 1-1. As for West Jones, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Collins will be playing at home against Stone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Jones, they will head out on the road to face off against Heidelberg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
