After flying high against Argo last Thursday, Lemont came back down to earth. The Lemont HS fell just short of the Wheaton North Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Lemont's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lemont's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Wheaton North, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Lemont and Wheaton North should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Lemont HS will challenge Bolingbrook at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (49 vs. 201). Meanwhile, Wheaton North (ranked 99th) will meet Joliet Catholic (ranked 257th) at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
