Recap: LaCrosse Leopards vs. Hoxie Indians
After flying high against the Sublette Larks last Thursday, The LaCrosse Leopards came back down to earth. LaCrosse took a serious blow against Hoxie on Friday, falling 61-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Despite the loss, LaCrosse still got an impressive performance from Gage Burk, who picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. Burk was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards.
Braydon Scheetz was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Duncan Bell was another key contributor, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
LaCrosse's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hoxie, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
LaCrosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hoxie will face off against Ell-Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ell-Saline is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
