Basketball Recap: State College Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact State College can now relate to. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McDowell Trojans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Little Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Trojans are ranked 20th).

State College has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. The win (which was McDowell's third in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

State College does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDowell, they will face off against Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on March 8th.
