Softball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers vs. Dutchtown Griffins

St. Joseph's Academy hasn't had much luck against Dutchtown recently, but that could start to change on Monday. St. Joseph's Academy will welcome Dutchtown at 4:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Joseph's Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to Parkview Baptist on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Dutchtown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Eagles.

St. Joseph's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Dutchtown, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-9.

St. Joseph's Academy beat Dutchtown 5-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will St. Joseph's Academy repeat their success, or does Dutchtown has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
