Basketball Game Preview: West Valley Rams vs. Eisenhower Cadets

West Valley and Eisenhower are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The West Valley Rams just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Eisenhower Cadets at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Eisenhower will be up against a hot West Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. West Valley took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-13 win over Wenatchee. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eisenhower). They breezed by Hanford to the tune of 70-31 on Friday. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Falcons are ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Valley has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Eisenhower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for West Valley against Eisenhower in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-38 win. Will West Valley repeat their success, or does Eisenhower have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
