Basketball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Victorious

Holly Grove Christian won the last time they faced Faith Baptist School, and Andrew Linton did his part to make sure it happened again. The Holly Grove Christian Eagles strolled past the Faith Baptist School Falcons with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-50 thanks in part to Linton, who went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ellis, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. Ellis is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Faith Baptist School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Devin Culbertson, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 23 points along with five boards and three steals. Bryce Binkley was another key player, going 6-for-15 to rack up 16 points and three blocks.

Holly Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Faith Baptist School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Holly Grove Christian will head out to face off against Greenwood Mennonite at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood Mennonite will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something Holly Grove Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Faith Baptist School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
