Sawyer Staudt Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Priest River got the W thanks in part to Sawyer Staudt playing the best football he has all season. Staudt wasn't messing around, rushing for 264 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. The matchup was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Priest River, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Staudt and Priest River will take on St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Saturday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Porter Lewis. Nobody could stop he on Saturday as he rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 336 yards and a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Kellogg's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).
On the season, Lewis has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 209 passing yards per game.

Johnny Starrs Goes Supernova in Orofino Loss
While Orofino might've come up empty on Friday, Johnny Starrs wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Starrs as he rushed for 139 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
Orofino is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Starrs and Orofino will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Bonners Ferry at 7:00 p.m.
