Baseball Recap: Durfee Comes Up Short

Durfee was the 5-3 winner over Somerset Berkley Regional when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilltoppers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Durfee has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Durfee will head out on the road to challenge Barnstable at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, they will host Middleborough at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
