Softball Recap: Wawasee Warriors vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies
The home team had come away the winner the last six times Wawasee and Plymouth had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors came up short against the Pilgrims/Rockies on Wednesday, falling 18-5. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilgrims/Rockies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Heatherlynn Holder made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Weaver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Plymouth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.
Wawasee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-4 win against Goshen on the 2nd. As for Plymouth, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-1 loss against NorthWood on the 2nd.
