Volleyball Recap: Burns Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Burns had won two straight home games and Bailey Grayson did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the East Gaston Warriors by a score of 3-1 with plenty of help from Grayson, who had 15 digs and six assists. Grayson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22.

East Gaston's loss came despite strong showings from Cora Stewart and Carsyn Simmons. Stewart had five digs and five aces, while Simmons had 12 kills and two aces.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Gaston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against East Rutherford on the 25th. As for East Gaston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
