Quin Schram and Drew Tanck provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Siren. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in Great 8 (8 Man) this season.
Sevastopol lost to the Dragons 78-24 last week, the largest margin of any game. Schram was a bright spot for the Pioneers, as he threw for 72 yards, ran for 50 yards and caught 5 passes for 123 yards in the loss.
Gibraltar's dynamic duo of Nick Kita and Austin Bauldry proved to be unstoppable against Luck, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kita threw for 319 yards and 5 touchdowns and Bauldry had 183 yards receiving. Matt Andersen helped Gibraltar's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 102 yards.
The Vikings' dynamic duo of Kita and Bauldry proved tough for the Cardinals to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Kita put up the best numbers through the air as Gibraltar topped Luck.
Zachary Olson was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 277 yards on 23 carries as Bowler/Gresham Community topped Don Kendzior's team. Cody Montez also contributed to the rushing game with 169 yards on the ground.
Olson was a beast in the backfield as the Panthers bested Maranatha Baptist.
He went 18-32 with 0 interceptions.
Joe Serrano was a key player and the best on defense this week as Bowler/Gresham Community beat the Crusaders. The 6-foot-2 junior recorded 2 fumbles.
Bauldry was the best wideout in the league this week as the Vikings bested the Cardinals.
Leading Great 8 (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Gibraltar's Kita and Bauldry have proven to be a lethal combination. Kita has thrown for 543 yards this season, while Bauldry, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 13 catches for 300 yards. Blake Neuman from Wayland Academy leads the league in rushing with 448 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sevastopol takes on the Vikings. At the moment, Justin Skiba's team is in sixth, while Gibraltar is in second.
Oneida Nation and the Big Red played the closest game in the league this week, with Oneida Nation eventually emerging with a 34-28 victory. Isaiah Charles threw for 29 yards, ran for 38 yards and caught 3 passes for 40 yards in the win.
