Recap: Memorial Red Devils vs. LaBrae Vikings
After a string of five wins, the Memorial Red Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to LaBrae 55-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Memorial of the 52-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the loss, Memorial still got an impressive performance from Aziyah Flores, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Flores has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Teyon Harris was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Memorial's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for LaBrae, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2.
Memorial will take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for LaBrae, they will head out on the road to take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in LaBrae's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
