Soccer Game Preview: North Stafford vs. Forest Park

The North Stafford Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Forest Park Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

North Stafford came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Mountain View, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, North Stafford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Mountain View are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, Forest Park came up short against Woodbridge on Monday and fell 4-2.

Kaylie Scherer and Caelyn Jimenez scored both of the Bruins' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Forest Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

North Stafford might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Forest Park when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
