Preview: Santa Fe Raiders vs. Buchholz Bobcats
The Santa Fe Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Buchholz Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Santa Fe suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 61-12 loss at the hands of Columbia. Santa Fe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-8.
Haleigh Richburgh was Santa Fe's leading scorer, having posted nine points.
Grace Boswell-Sczepanski held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Buchholz lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against West Port, falling 62-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Buchholz has scored all season.
Santa Fe now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Buchholz, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Santa Fe suffered a grim 57-36 defeat to Buchholz in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Santa Fe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
