Baseball Game Preview: Edison Chargers vs. Marina Vikings

For the second straight game, Edison will face off against Marina. The Chargers are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Edison took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Marina, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chargers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings on Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

For Marina's part, they got a good showing from JUSTIN RACKLEY, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. RACKLEY has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Marina saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LUKE PRATALI, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. MATTHEW DEAN also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win got Edison back to even at 10-10. As for Marina, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
