Andrew Sepulveda leads Mountain Empire to victory over San Diego Academy

The Mountain Empire Redhawks's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against San Diego Academy by a score of 43-33. For Mountain Empire, this counts as revenge for the 68-60 defeat San Diego Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2018.

It was another big night for Andrew Sepulveda, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maximo Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Mountain Empire is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for San Diego Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.

Mountain Empire will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for San Diego Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Monarch at 4:00 p.m. Monarch will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
