Basketball Game Preview: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. Northridge Raiders

After both having extra time off, the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings and the Northridge Raiders will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tippecanoe Valley picked up another tournament win last Saturday. They came out on top against Harrison by a score of 36-23.

Meanwhile, Northridge waltzed into their contest last Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They escaped with a win against the Kingsmen by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53.

Northridge found their leader in sophomore Lily Scholl, who went 12 for 17 on her way to 27 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Scholl is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Rielyn Goodwin, who posted 12 points and six assists.

Northridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn only racked up nine assists.

Northridge pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.
