Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Tinley Park

Tinley Park had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Bremen Braves as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Emily Korduplewski tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tinley Park let Lilia Flores and Megan Piotrowski run wild. Flores went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Piotrowski went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Flores a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Nuskiewicz, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Tinley Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher in three consecutive games.
