Winnebago hadn't done well against Forreston recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Indians skirted past the Cardinals 2-1. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kylie Busse was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven games. Emma Kelly also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Winnebago and bumps their season record up to 5-8-1. As for Forreston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Winnebago didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Stockton on the 15th. As for Forreston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Durand on the 16th.
