Basketball Recap: Andes Central/Dakota Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Burke last Thursday, Andes Central/Dakota Christian came back down to earth. Andes Central/Dakota Christian fell just short of the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks by a score of 49-46 on Tuesday. Andes Central/Dakota Christian has struggled against Tripp-Delmont/Armour recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Loss or not, Andes Central/Dakota Christian got some senior leadership from Tate Elk Solider and Hunter Loeffler. Elk Solider posted 21 points, while Loeffler had five points along with five assists and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Loeffler a new career-high in steals (five). Garth Maas was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Andes Central/Dakota Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
