Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Bunker Hill needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Eliana McClain. The Bunker Hill Bears strolled past the West Caldwell Warriors with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-31 thanks in part to McClain, who posted 20 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Beck, who scored 11 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Bunker Hill's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for West Caldwell, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunker Hill will host West Lincoln at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Bunker Hill is facing West Lincoln at the right time seeing as West Lincoln is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for West Caldwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maiden at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
