Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Thompson Valley walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mead Mavericks 16-14. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Thompson Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dane Gray and Colton (Cj) James. Gray also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Although Mead took the loss, they still got scores from Noah Vroman and Ryan St. Aubin.

Thompson Valley's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Mead, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.

As of now, neither Thompson Valley nor Mead have any future games scheduled.
